Franciscan
Kolbe Press, a non-profit making apostolate of
Conventual Franciscan Friars in Kenya, in the spirit of St
Maximilian Maria Kolbe, is engaged in the activity of printing
books, magazines, newsletters and stationeries for over hundred
customers, of which 90% are Catholic publishers printing Church
materials, the remaining 10% being educational materials and
publications of other Christian Churches. Additionally the press
provides services of folding, UV varnishing (coating) and
trimming of papers, for other printing presses.
Since its establishment in 1987 (under the Diocese of Meru, and
from 2010 under Conventual Franciscan Friars)—Franciscan
Kolbe Press is constantly under development which has one main
goal—better apostolate through providing good quality
printed materials for the African continent and serving
especially (though not only) the Catholic Church in Africa in
spreading the Good News and moral values more effectively.
Gratefulness for our work was expressed in a public speech by the
directress of Paulines Publications during the meeting of mass
media houses. She said: “Franciscan Kolbe Press was always
leading in quality of printed materials and therefore challenging
other printing presses in Kenya.”
Since 2006 our Printing Press is also a member of Kenya
